What’s this course about?

This course introduces musculoskeletal problems seen commonly in general practice consultations. It provides participants with evidence-based knowledge and skills to conduct appropriate history taking, examination and assessment – leading to competent differential diagnoses and management of the conditions.

Assessment of this course is intentionally varied to be relevant to your practice and, if you are a trainee, it may be possible to use some as contributions to an e-portfoilo or as revision for the clinical exams, or if you are a GP as evidence for appraisal. There is an multiple choice question test to assess knowledge, case history studies on two clinical topics, a short reflective piece on your learning experience and, following the clinical study day, you are asked to upload a short video showing your clinical examination skills.
